The Data & Insights Associate leads the operational analytics function, supporting the delivery of business plan targets and the execution of strategies for achieving operational excellence by generating and analysing reports on the Spanish property management performance. The successful candidate is responsible for gathering and analysing market, client and portfolio data, providing data and input to identify opportunities for improving performance and customer satisfaction.

Key Role Responsibilities:

  • Delivers operational reporting to track and analyses leasing and occupancy performance and trends and highlight opportunities for rental growth or corrective marketing activity.
  • Compiles data with the objective of driving revenue/pricing and expense/spend decisions.
  • Acts as the focal point for all operational analyst demands, supporting the Operations teams and other key stakeholders.
  • Provides support and assistance to managers, key business leaders and others by fielding questions and requests, gathering data and reports and assisting in resolving issues related to operational policies and performance.
  • Supports annual rent and budget setting processes, new acquisition due diligence and such other reports, analyses and tasks as necessary.
  • Supports Asset Management in the delivery of regular and ad hoc Investor reporting
  • Contributes to reporting requirements, e.g. underwriting for acquisition, development and 3rd party management proposals
  • Owns the reporting of customer satisfaction metrics using business tools.
  • Works with other functions (Sales, Marketing, Health & Safety, Finance, HR) to track key performance indicators and provide regular and consistent reporting to the business.
  • Gathers and analyses financial, market, and other data to evaluate overall performance of the assigned portfolios versus budgets, targets and client expectations, preparing summaries, reports, recommendations and other interpretive reports to support business decisions, e.g. portfolio reviews.
  • Participates in project teams to implement process improvements, new applications and programs targeted to improve operational performance, tracks competitor pricing and performance and collates market data for the business.
  • Owns the maintenance of operational KPI databases used to gather and report on performance.
  • Identify opportunities for improvements in systems and tools used to understand, monitor and track performance.
Your Profile:
  • Educated to degree level or equivalent ideally in a relevant subject such as finance, mathematics, economics, engineering or business studies where analytical skills have been studied to an advanced level.
  • Advanced user of database driven business systems.
  • IT literate and proficient with general office Microsoft packages to an intermediate level in powerpoint and advanced Excel.
  • Demonstrable experience in the gathering, analysis, reporting and presentation of business specific data preferably in a related sector
  • Experience of using standard statistical methods and approaches
  • Strong attention to detail with a commercial perspective, including experience of a P&L (revenue and opex)
  • An ability to process and manage different forms of data and identify errors and anomalies in documents and reports
  • Application of an investigator mindset with a desire to understand the bigger picture and contribute to understanding and solving challenges
  • Strong written and oral communication skills including the ability to prepare and present commercial standard business correspondence, reports, documents and business proposals
  • Experience of line management
